Since 2007 and into 2012 the UK Broadcast network has been rolling out a Digital program that will see the end of analogue terrestrial television broadcast. The Digital revolution has been heralded as the next big thing in TV offering better picture quality the ability to select and interactively control programming and most importantly provide ever greater choice in channels.

During the last 10 years digital program access has been available over the air from Satellite and underground from Cable, with the advent of terrestrial Freeview access in the last few years.

While we will see the full roll out of Digital TV to all homes with terrestrial aerial in the next few years, heralding the end to any analogue television tuner, the industry has not wasted a moment to bring exciting broadcast opportunities to the market and heading that market is High definition Television.
